Well, now I can't get the actual game to launch at all. Playgate fires up and logs in, but when I try to get to the actual game, a black screen appears with a cursor. Eventually the "WW2 has stopped working" message pops up on my screen, and the window closes. My stats again:

Windows 7, 64bit
i7 2.4 GHz processor
4 gigs of RAM
1.5 gig vRAM, nVidia 560M

Ideas?? A fresh install did not help.

No, not using TS3.

I did a Google on the .dll that's failing, apparently it has to do with my OpenGL drivers. Looking for a way to update/replace the ones I have currently.

Driver install failed. I do believe that it is time to take this old boy (less than a year old, actually) out back and end my suffering.

Does the 560M have a bimodal operation, where it runs in a low-power, low-capability mode normally, then autoswitches when high-bit-rate graphic content is presented to it?

WWIIOL is difficult for some autoswitch graphics cards to detect. They stay in low-power mode and crash.

Sometimes there's a way to lock the machine in high-graphics mode. Usually it has to be plugged in to do that. That's solved a similar-sounding behavior for several other players.

I have no idea why the driver install would have failed...unless the drivers were for a regular 560 instead of a 560M? I'd think that would be a separate problem.
