Default TRAINING SERVER INFO

Most of the time there are two game servers online. There is the "real" server, where everything counts. Then there is the "training" server where you can practice and hone your battle skills, be it by yourself or with a friend or two.

There are some differences between the real server and the training server. In the training server there is no rank requirement, allowing you to spawn any unit and to post missions for all your personas. Supply is unlimited here and you can respawn over and over 'til the sheep come home.

To find who is all on the training server, type .who. On the real server the .who command will tell which of your squad mates that are online, here it tells everyone on the training server. On both servers you can type .tr to find out the trainers that are online. Feel free to ask any of them anytime questions that you have. They are there to help you!!!

Would like to see the training server up once in awhile-since all the problems it's either been down or locked.
Question-a player i respect told me that hitting spacebar in the training server makes a duplicate of you, which, if aircraft, will simply fly straight and level-is this only in the special training server or in the training section of the online server as well?
My ATA skills are negligible, and i truly need to work on gunnery and ACM. Bombing i have more than enough skill at, so no practice needed.
Any info though on ATA, ACM or training server is welcome.

You were missinformed.
"Clones" or duplicates if you will are stationary copies and only available offline.

Campaign server takes priority over the training server, until crs has finished dealing with the current isues in the campaign I doubt the training server will be upversioned. After all is smoothed with the main game server you can then look for the training server to become available again.

If its no longer available, perhaps that information should be reflected in the website instructions and other documentation. I just wasted a half hour trying to find out why I couldn't see the training server.

Exclamation Re: TRAINING SERVER INFO

Well I think I'll just throw in the question.. Why is the training server not available anymore? Also I believe the majority of the training program is gone?

I really think a good training server and a good training program again like there used to be will let the newer people enjoy the game more and stay longer.. And not leave after a week cause they are drowning in information they have no clue of.. I've noticed this myself back when I joined in 2005, I tried just playing the game and find out information and things by myself, but it was a pretty big piece to swallow and instead I followed some trainings with a trainer.. And that made the game SO MUCH more enjoyable in just 1 day!

I think this really needs to be looked into again, certainly when we will hit green on Steam anytime soon I hope.. I'd even like to help setting up a good training program for new players again if there are Game Moderators / RATS or other players who can add one certain page to the website and help making things happen that needs some more privileges.

I know there is a wiki with a lot on it, but im 100% sure you're able to keep a larger steady player base (especially from new people joining) if you get back the sort of personal training.. Like said im interested in helping out getting this back on track again..
